The Wonder Pigs "Pet Pigs Australia"

If you love pigs, own a pig, want to learn about pigs, are a new pig owner, are thinking of getting a pet pig, or are considering rescue & adoption....

Before you consider buying a pet pig.
Pigs are farm animals, not domestic backyard pets.
It doesn’t matter what the breeders tell you...
They will tell you what you want to hear.....
And remember..... they just want your money.
Miniature Pigs can grow to 100kgs-150kgs or more.
I have rescued and re-homed many over the years.
Do your research - Check with your Local Council & Local DPI Office.
Be kind to yourself and the pigs and choose another pet if you live in the suburbs.

Council Regulations
Not all local councils allow the keeping of pigs.
Check with your council before purchasing any pigs - even pet pigs
(Local Government Act 1993 Section 124 applies).

Do you have enough room? Schedule 2 of the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005 states that
‘...swine must not be kept (and swine’s dung must not be deposited)
within 60m of a dwelling, shop, office, factory, church or other place of public worship, workshop, school or public place in a city, town, village or other urban part of an area.’

This means you need to own more than 1.5 hectares of land.
